Your wedding ceremony is, without a doubt, the most important part of getting married and apart from the Celebrant, the Photographer shares equal responsibility on the day.
If you have booked a wedding with me, then please let your photographer know about my Photographer's Page on this website or tell them the following...
All my ceremonies are unplugged! If you are paying for a professional photographer then all your guests will be asked to put their phones and cameras away for the duration of the ceremony.
At my ceremonies I give free reign to the photographer. I believe that in order to do the job they were hired for they will need to move around freely and be exactly where they have to be in order to take the shots they need.
Several Photographers have told me that some Celebrants have instructed them to remain at a distance from proceedings and to stick to the back of the gathering through out... You are kidding me!!! This is about the Bride & Groom on their day and NOT about the Celebrant!
Well, that certainly is not me... quite the opposite in fact. So much so, I have devoted this page to making sure your photographer can read this and be able do their job without restriction.
So, if your photographer has to stand behind me with the lens balancing on my shoulder for them to take the 'Ring Shots' then that's fine with me (been done a few times and I am good with it).
If they have to lay down in the middle of the aisle or stand on a chair, have an assistant with them also taking photos then GREAT!!! I'm all for it!! (As long as the chair they are using is sturdy and safe and not a fold up chair)
So please share this page with your Photographer and let them know they are very welcome to take the photographs they would like to, anywhere they please.
I look forward to working with whom ever you choose to capture your special day.
